How often do I need to come in for a facial?

Since the skin naturally renews itself about every 28 days, scheduling a facial every 4 to 6 weeks helps to support this process and keep your complexion looking its best.

Do I need a consultation during my first visit?

Combining a facial with a consultation is a fantastic way to kickstart your skincare journey! Not only do you get to experience the immediate benefits of a facial, but you also receive personalized advice tailored to your skin's unique needs. Plus, having that consultation up front allows your skincare specialist to craft a customized treatment plan designed specifically for you.

How do I know which treatment to book?

The New Client Consultation and Facial is an excellent choice for first-time clients. It offers a comprehensive skin analysis along with our most thorough facial, giving us the opportunity to understand your skin's unique needs and characteristics. This in-depth assessment forms the foundation for creating a personalized treatment plan tailored specifically to address your concerns and achieve your skincare goals.

I just got Injectables or Fillers, can I come in for a facial?

It's generally advised to wait about 2 weeks after receiving Botox injections or Fillers, before undergoing any type of facial or skincare treatment. This waiting period allows the Botox to fully settle into the targeted muscles and achieve optimal results without any interference from external factors. Additionally, it reduces the risk of inadvertently spreading the Botox to unintended areas or disrupting its effects.

Do I need to stop my current skincare products before my treatment?

It's important to avoid using exfoliating acids such as Glycolic, Lactic, Mandelic, etc., as well as any retinol products, including over-the-counter formulations and prescription-grade Retin-A, before your facial appointment. These ingredients can increase skin sensitivity and potential irritation, which may affect the results of your facial treatment. By discontinuing their use prior to your appointment, you'll help ensure that your skin is in the best possible condition for your facial and minimize the risk of any adverse reactions.

First Visit

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow ample time to check in and complete intake paperwork.

Late Arrivals

If arrival is delayed, we will make every effort to accommodate your full appointment but service time may be abbreviated to avoid delays for other guests. Abbreviated treatments are charged at full value.

Late Cancellation & Missed Appointments

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy on all other appointments. Late cancellations and missed appointments are subject to a $75 fee.

Although we make every effort to keep our website and spa menu updated accordingly, please note that prices, services, and products are subject to change at any time without notice. Special offers and discounts may not be combined. When presented with more than one discount opportunity, we will automatically give patients the discount of greater value at the time of purchase.

Gift Cards

Gift cards may be used toward any service or product offered at SHAYLAZ. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable.

We love having you as a client, but we do reserve the right to refuse service at any time, to anyone, for any reason.

Refunds

We work with each client to discuss treatment objectives and review likely outcomes, benefits and risks associated with each treatment. We offer individual treatment as well as significantly discounted treatment package options so each client may choose the approach that is best suited for their needs and budget. Once services are purchased they will not be refunded, however, to ensure our clients always receive the greatest experience at SHAYLAZ, unuse service values (cash equivalent for the remaining amount of a treatment package) can be applied to any other service at SHAYLAZ. If you are contraindicated for the scheduled treatment or your provider chooses not to pursue treatment, refunds are not available.

For Skin Care Products, all sales are final, however, should you have a skin reaction to one of the products, it can be returned for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. All injectable treatment sales (such as, but not limited to Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, facials, lash services, or chemical peels) are final; refunds or credits cannot be offered once treatment is completed.​We will be honest in all our dealings with you.  Aesthetics is not an exact science and how you may respond to a given treatment will vary from person to person.  It is virtually impossible to predict results and therefore payments made for services are for treatments to be performed -- not for a specific result.  However, we always strive to achieve the absolute best result that we can for you.
